HERD TESTING.
FEBRUARY AVERAGES. I District Returns. During February 72,211 cows were under test by the N.Z. Herd-testing Association, compared with 63,997 the previous season. The average milk yield was 571 pounds, the average test 4.5 and average butterfat production 26.04 pounds. The figures for February, 1925, were 457 pounds of milk, 4.4 test and 20.39 pounds of butterfat. Details of the Morrinsville, Matamata and Putaruru district groups are as follow, the returns for the previous February being given in parenrheses:— y Hinuera.
