ENTERTAINMENTS.
FERRY BROS. CIRCUS. Three years have passed since Perry Bros, paid their last visit to New Zealand. The long interval will be broken by the appearance at Putaruru on Easter Monday, April 1, of Messrs. Perry Bros.’ Circus and Zoo, which have gained high praise wherever exhibited. The zoo is an extensive one, containing a large assortment of animals, while the circus includes many acts of startling parts, including the Flying Lorenzes, midair marvels, Signor Alberto, the wire walker, who somersaults on the silver thread; Captain Monzalo and his performing lions and tigers; the Archie Troupe, wonderful perch and ladder balancers; Tommy, the midgit elephant, which dances the Charleston and plays his own music, together with riders, tumblers, acrobats, clowns, and performing horses, ponies and dogs. The zoo will be open between 4 p.m. and o p.m., when animals will be fed. The evening performance will be at 8 o’clocic.
