ASSAULT CASE.
TE WHETU FRACAS. William Heame and Henry Thoma 3 Harvey, appeared, following a remand, before Messrs. J. W. Barr Brown and T. F. Snell, J.’sP., at Putaruru on Friday, on a charge of assaulting William James Armour with intent to cause actual bodily harm. The Bench agreed to reduce the charge to one of common assault. The police stated the assault to be the outcome of a drinking bout, tl'i: accused having a grudge agains. Armour.
Both accused pleaded guilty and were fined £5 each, plus costs totalling £l7 5s 6d.
