MORRINSVILLE. , There was an average J cattle and beef at the Farmers’ Auctioneering Co.’s sale at Morrinsville on Friday. Beef sold on a par with late rates, other stock being Ann. Prices were:— Beef.—Fat cows, heavy £9 2s 6fl to £lO 16s, medium £7 15s to £8 17s lighter £6 to £7 10s; forward co tioned cows, £4 16s to £5 12|£*d; store cows, £2 12s 6d to £4; Pulls, potters, £5 10s to £6 15s; 18-months Jersey in-calf heifers, £5 to £5 16s; Jersey heifer calves, £3 10s to £4 ; one fat show cow, first prize, on account of F. Richmond, £lO 14s ; on account of same vendor, first and second prize fat heifers, £lO 4s. Sheep.—Ewes, fat, 2 and 4-tooth* £1 11s; medium fat ewes, £1 Is 6d;fat lambs, 19s 6d to £1 3s; lambs, good framed shorn 17s 2d to 18s lOd, others 15s to 16s 8d; good framed breeding ewes, 23s Id; ewes, aged, 14s to 18s. Pigs.—Medium baconers, £2 16s to' £3; heavy porkers and light baconers, £2 8s to £2 10s; light porkers, £1 17s to £2 4s; light and small, £1 8s to £1 14s 6d; slips, 12s to 20s; weaners, 4s to 10s. MATAMATA. At the Farmers’ Auctioneering - Co.’s Matamata sale on Wednesday, there was an extra heavy yarding of beef and a la.'ge number of sheep and store cattle, all being quitted at' late firm rates. Fat and store pigs also came forward in large numbers, fats fully maintaining late rates, with stores still easy, no demand. Sheep.—Prime extra heavy fat ewes, 275; heavy fat wethers 32s fid, lighter 30s 3d; heavy fat lambs, 23s 6d to 24s 6d; good framed s.m. breeding ewes, 20s to 21s 9d; good-framed* poorer-conditioned, 178/;to 19s; good woolly m.s. store lambs, 19s; cull' shorn lambs m.s., 12s 9d to 13s Id. Beef.—Prime heavy fat cows, £lo' 5s to £lO 17s 6d; heavy fat cows, £8 4s to £9 17e 6d; heavy fat heifers, to £lO 4a; medium fat cows, £7 Ss to £8; light £8 2s 6d to £6 19s; for-ward-conditioned cows, £5 to £8 17s; fresh store cows, £4 to £4 16s; others £2 15s to £8 16s; Jersey and Jerseycross heifer calves, £3 to £3 fls; smaller sorts, £2 7s to £2 13s; Jerse. in-calf heifers, £9 ss; potting hulls, heavy £7 to £8 10s, lighter £5 to £6. HAMILTON. At the Farmers’ Auctioneering Co.’s sale at Frankton on Tuesday, there was a short entry of fat cattle and prices were firm at late rates. A fair number of fat sheep were penned with prices slightly firmer, and an extra heavy yarding of fat pigs was submitted and sold firm at late quotations. All classes of stores were hard to quit. Prices:— Beef.—Heavy fat cows, £9 2s 6d to £10; medium prime cows, to £8 10s; lighter, £6 to £6 17s 6d. Sheep.—Medium weight prime wethers 32s lOd, lighter 31; heavy fat ewes, 245; prime lambs, to 28s 9d; four and five-year breeding ewes, 24s 7d to 28s 9d; aged ewes, 13s 5d to 17s 2d. Pigs.—Baconers, heavy £3 8s to £8 18s, medium £3 Is to £3 7s, light £2 14s to £2 19s; heavy porkers £2 Ss to £2 11s, lighter £1 19s to £2 4s, small £1 8s to £1 15s; choppers, £1 14s to £3 3s; slips, 11s to 13s 6d; weaners, 4s to Bs.
