TENDERS ACCEPTED.

BY MATAMATA COUNTY. Reporting to the Matamata County Council on Friday, Mr. M. E. Fitzgerald, engineer, gave the following details in regard to tenders received for various county works:—

Tapapa - Okoroire road, southern end, £264 and £209 10s. The lowest, that of Mr. Ashworth, was accepted, and the work was well in hand. Bathe’s Flat.—Prices for quarrying and delivering rhyolite metal ranged from 4s lid to 9s lid, and the lowest, that of Mr. J. W. Ross, was accepted.
