MEAT FROM SOUTH AMERICA.
SHIPMENTS TO ENGLAND. The New Zealand Meat Producers Board has received a cable from its representative at Buenos Aires, South America, advising the following shipments to the United Kingdom for the fortnight ended February 14 from Argentine and Uruguay : 164,750 quarters chilled beef, 863 quarters frozen beef, 43,974 carcases frozen mutton, 88,576 carcases frozen lamb.
The quantity shipped to the Continent of Europe during the same period was as follow’s : 54,013 quarters frozen beef, 7745 carcases frozen mutton, 467 carcases frozen lamb.
