BRIDGE EVENING.

A most enjoyable bridge evening was held in the Oddfellows Hall, Putaruru, on Saturday, when Mrs. J. G. Gasparich, who is shortly leaving with her husband and daughter for North Shore, Auckland, was the guest of the evening. Misses Wallis and McCarrol, teachers at Putaruru and Lichfield schools respectively, acted as hostesses. The decorations consisted of bowls of yellow flowers and greenery. A dainty supper was served later in the evening. Mrs. J. S. Reid was successful in winning the prize. Among those present were Mesdames Addenbrooke, C. G. Alcorn, A. S. Edwards, N. Fitz Herbert, E. F. Halse, S. J. Parker, T. C. V. Rabone, J. S. Reid, Rutherford, H. J. W. Scott, J. M. Spear and Tulloch.
