Wedding Bells.
PORTLAND—SKINNER. At the Methodist Church on Wednesday, January 23, the wedding of Elizabeth Jane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Skinner, of Okoroire, to Percy, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Portland, Waharoa, was solemnised by Rev. F. Gardner Brown. Attired in a frock of lemon georgette and silver lace, with a tulle Veil and orange blossom trimmings, the bride entered the church on the arm of her father. In attendance was Miss Edna Coombs, of Taihoa, wearing rose crepe de chine with pearl trimming and a bandeau of silver tinsel. Handsome bouquets were carried. The bride chose white dahlias and sweet 1 peas arranged with asparagus fern, and the bridesmaid chose pink sweet peas with fern relief. Mr. Harry Skinner, brother of the bride, was best man. At a reception Mrs. Skinner received the guests, who numbered about 40, in a frock of navy crepe de chine with coffee lace insets ; her hat was of navy straw. After the hone j moon Mr. and Mrs. P. Portland will take up their residence at Waharoa.
