N.Z. FARMERS’ UNION.
GENERAL MEETING. A general meeting of the Putaruru branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union was held in the Town Hall, on Tuesday night, there being a good attendance. Officials for the picnic were elected as follow : Judge, Mr. R. A. Bent ; starter, Mr. W. Proctor ; handicappers, Messrs. E. D. White and D. D. Sneddon ; timekeeper and ring steward, Mr. G. G. Griffiths ; gatekeeper, Mr. H. Truss ; entry stewards, Messrs. H. J. W. Scott and H. A. Lopdell ; stewards, Messrs. A. Morris, A- R. Vosper, H. Baldwin, W. Baldwin, E. Miller, F. Tomalin, C. J. Voyce, P. F. Karl, R. Fitness, T. Jones and F. Peters.
