That the time had come when the Tepartment of Agriculture should test all patent stock niedicines before allowing them to be placed on the market, was the opinion expressed at the meeting of the Dairy Farmers' Union in Palmerston North. It was decided to send a deputation to the Minister wnen Parliament meets next and bring the matter under his notice.- The resolution was the outcome of opinions expressed from time to time, by members of the executive that many patent medicares on the market were useless. “That such remedies should be allowed to be sold is wrong,” stated Mr. P. j. Small • “ The time is ripe when the Government should set up a law prohibiting the sale of material before it is first tested by responsible authorities ”
