BON COURAGE.

; O to begin all over again! Such is the cry of human pain, in the shadowed hour when the teardrops start, and the past engulfs the questing heart. O to forget the graceless days! Tho headstrong pride, the wilful ways. . . . The early Self that missed the goal; the ceaseless struggles of the soul. Ever we hear the sad refrain: O te begin all over again! Yet the soul must learn, and the only way is to learn of the failures of every day. They must be, stepping-stones to success; that most may hurt ere they may bless. The pride that precedes the lowest fall, can hear to tho last Life’s clarion-call. And to begin all over again, the heart must outlive the smirch and stain; must push the setbacks out of sight, emerge from darkness into light. Then shed no tears, but smile anew! There are roses still, for all the rue. . . And wheresoever our lot be cast, wo can build a future out of the past! J H.S.
