ADVICE TO PLAYERS. (By Racquet). 5 Do not endeavour to cultivate style , to the detriment of stroke-produc-I tion. A natural and fluent way is no I doubt the best, and so long as a I player concentrates on the well-es- ! tablished general rules he is doing (thing. Practice and concentration with the eye on the ball is bound to bring good results. In serving, the, weight should be thrown on to the left leg. " Avoid being showy. Natural style is a fine thing, but or not copy slavishly any model player, because the difference in phy- _ sique will prevent your attaining great results. Endeavour to cultivate your second serve. Too many -players put everything into the first ball, and make the second a footling pat. It is rather better to play two hard, placed services, until such times as you have mastered a really fast and accurate serve. Practice assiduously.
