The good quality of land in the Wiltsdown area hear Putaruru may be gauged from the results obtained by Mr. Walter Johnson. This season he obtained 102 per cent, of lambs from a mob of old ewes (eight and nine years), this being their third lambing season on the property. Fifty per cent, of the lambs are ready for the freezing works, all Of which were born since September 1.
