WAIKATO MARKET REPORT. The 'Farmers’ Auctioneering Company reports under date of. December 17:— Beef.—The market continues firm for both ox and cow beef, best primeox making 40s and prime cow and heifer 36s per 100 pounds. Fat Sheep. Good yardings are coming . forward, with prices easier for both wether and ewe mutton. Exporters are operating freely on lamb at 9ld per pound. Store Sheep.—There is a good demand for shorn wethers, also a good inquiry for ewes and lambs. Store Cattle.—All classes of stores are in demand. Grown and young steers, good store cows and yearling and two-year heifers are- much sought after. Pigs.—Big yardings of both fats and stores continue to come forward, prime baconers and porkers making equal to 4id per pound. There is still good competition for all classes of stores. . Horses.—The market is quiet for all classes.
