CHRISTMAS TREAT.

ANGLICAN EFI ORT. Last Friday a children’s Christmas treat organised by the teachers of the Anglican Sunday School was held in the Presbyterian Hall, where there was a large attendance. Those present were given tea at 5.30 p.m., after which the outstanding feature of the evening, the giving of prizes from a large Christmas tree by Father Christmas, was proceeded with. Forty children were g’iven presents which were greatly appreciated by the youngsters. The rest of the evening was devoted to games in which old and young joined. At the conclusion of the evening- Rev. G. Wilkinson thanked the Ladies’ Guild, the members of which organised the evening, and the children responded with' lusty cheers.
