Tirau.

The tender of Messrs. Michie Bros., has been accepted fpr the -erection of the Presbyterian Manse at Tirau. The Tirau Presbyterian Bible Class members and friends met last Tuesday, evening for a social at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Alleh. A most enjoyable evening whs spent in games, competition's and music. Before the gathering dispersed, Rev. W. T. Brabyn thanked the host arid hostess for their hospitality. Hearty thanks were also accorded the secretary, Mr.' B. Amoore. A donation was sent to the orphanage at Auckland.
