TIRAU TRAGEDY.

VERDICT AT INQUEST. Overwork and 111 Health. The adjourned inquest into the tragic deaths of Stanley Owen and Bruce Trevor Chapman, the two brothers involved in the sensation at Tirau last week, was held before Mr. T. F. Snell, J.P., acting coroner, and a jury of four at the Putaruru Courthouse on Wednesday morning. After hearing the evidence the jury returned the following verdict:— “ That Stanley Owen Chapman met his death by a wound self inflicted with a .22 calibre bullet while in a state of acute mental depression caused through overwork and worry,' -intensified by the inhalation of fuines from carbon bisulphide improperly used in poisoning rabbits.’’ “ That Bruce Trevor Chapman met his death from a gunshot wound apparently inflicted by his brother, H&tanley Owen Chapman, while in a Pstate of acute mental depression.”
