. PUTARURU CLUB. General Meeting. A general meeting of the Putaruru club was held on Monday, Mr. S. J. . Panton presiding. of canvassing. After further discussion it was decided that the club carry on and that Mr. Griffiths approach the selector with a view to him retaining his position. Failing success in this direction, Messrs. Paxton, Dewse and Roberts were appointed a selection committee. ARAPUNI V. TE AWAMUTU. These teams met at Arapuni and the visitors secured ah easy victory by 139 runs. Te Awamutu scored 214 for eight wickets, Smith making 65, and Arapuni replied with a total of 75, Harris making 27. The sides were captained by McNeill (Arapuni) and Barhett (Te Awamutu). For the visitors Barnett bowled best, while Prosser was the home team’s most successful trundler.
