Country school committees can rarely be accused of handing bouquets to the Education Board. More frequently it is brick-bats that are cast at that long-suffering body. However, the Tahuroa committee has reason to. be thankful for the unusual degree of alacrity which moved the board last week. The teacher was taken ill, and the chairman sent word to Auckland for the services of a relieving teacher. The telegram was despatched early in the morning, and the same night the teacher arrived.
