In pursuance of the Licensing Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto, 1, John Lodewyk Crowther, Returning Otlicer for the Rotorua Licensing District, do herebv give notice that on the 14th day of NOVEMBER, 1928, the day appointed for taking the Electoral Poll for the Electoral District of Rotorua, simultaneously therewith a LICENSING POLL will be taken upon the following proposals:— j NATIONAL CONTINUANCE. STATE PURCHASE it CONTROL. NATIONAL PROHIBITION. Nominations of persons to appoint scrutineers in accordance s with the Licensing Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto, in respect of each of the said proposals, must be lodged with me not later than 5 o’clock in the afternoon of the Seventh day, of NOVEMBER, 1928. And 1 hereby give notice that I shall, on the Tenth, day of NOVEMBER, 1928, at the 1 hour of 11 o’clock in the forenoon, at my Office in Rotorua, publicly consider ail nomination papers of persons to appoint scrutineers which have been duly lodged in respect of the said Licensing Poll. In pursuance of the Electoral Act, 11127, I, John Lodewyk CrOcvther, Returning Otllcer for Electoral District of Rotorua, do hereby give notice that, by Virtue of a writ bearing date the 19th day of October, 1928, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an Election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as member for the said district, and that the latest hour for receiving nominations of candidates will be noon on the 29th day of OCTOBER, 1928, and that the poll, if necessary, will be taken at the several polling places of the said district on the 14th day of NOVEMBER, 1928. Every person desirous of becoming a candidate must be nominated by not less than two electors of the district, by a nomination paper as prescribed by, Section 110 of the Said Act, delivered to the Returning Officer on or before NOON on the 29th day ,f OCTOBER, 1928.
