Anticipation of an honour caused faces at a certain social gathering in Matamata district to become wreathed in smiles. Mr. F. F. Hockly, M.P. for Rotorua, was being welcomed, and the spokesman referred to him as “ the Hon.” With an expansive smile Mr. Hockly gently interposed “ Not yet.”
