Clay Bird Shooting.
OKOROIRE GUN CLUB. The final shoot for the season of the Okoroire Gun Club was held at Okoroire on Saturday. There was a large and representative gathering, members of Hamilton, Matamata, Morrinsville, Thames and King Country clubs being present. The results of the shoots were as follows: No. 1 Shoot, 12 birds.—J. Amunsden, W. Woolven (18yds) and C. Green (17yds), 11 birds, 1. * No. 2 Sweep, 9 birds.—W. R. Smith (13yds), C. Green (17yds), E. Green (17yds), A. W. Stucky (14yus), 1. No. 3 Sweep, 6 birds. —S. Parlour, Morrinsville (12yds), and J. Amunsdep/( 17yds), 1. [ a ‘No. 4, gimerack shoot.—D. Hay, possible, 1; J. Amunsden and A. Woolven 2.
Quail Drive, 5 birds.—J. Amunsden , W. Woolven, 4 birds, 1. Season’s aggregate for silver cup was secured by J. Amunsden with 198 birds. Other scores were: E. Green 155, D. Hay 152, E. C. Young 151, C. Green 149. The thanks of the club are due to Mr. S. Parlour, Morrinsville, for his services as referee, and to Mr. A. Woolven, Hamilton, for handicapping. Afternoon tea, supplied by the club ht the Okoroire Hotel, closed a most successful season.
