PUTARURU. The most wonderful picture of the age, “King of Kings,” lias been secured for Putaruru at great expense for September 11 and 12. To ensure that everyone desiring to see this marvellous film may do so in comfort it will l?e screened on two nights, while a further screening may be given if sufficient inducement offers. Box plans are now open, and seats selected will be positively reserved, so that all patrons may rest assured that the picture may be seen by them without worry and inconvenience. There will be no extra charge for booking. ARAPUNI. Another thriller featuring Fred Thomson will be screened on Tuesday night. The title is “ The Pioneer Scout,” and the picture sets aside for all time any doubt as to who is the leader of all Western stars. The waggon race is hair-raising and rivals in every way the chariot scene in “ Ben Hur.” There are also terrific fights among high peaks of the Rocky Mountains, and from start to finish the story is cpie which grips and holds the audience spellbound. COUNTRY CIRCUIT. One of those pictures which no one should miss will he screened next Saturday at Tokoroa. The title is “ Unknown Soldier ” and the story is one which makes a strong human appeal to all classes of audiences. Other special pictures to be screened at an early date are “ Bigger Than Barnums,” “ The Wizard,” “ The Only Way ” and “ Irene.”
