N.Z, FARMERS’ ORION.

MORRINSVILLE BRANCH. Monthly Meeting. There was a fair attendance at the monthly meeting of the Morrinsville branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, was which held on Saturday evening, the president, Mr. J, M. Allen, presiding. Mr. H. H. Herbert and Mr. P. C. Balme were elected members of the branch.

Advice was received that Mr. C. V. Dayus would be free to attend any meeting of the branch and lecture on diseases of stock. It was decided to request Mr. Dayus to address a special meeting of the branch, to which all farmers would be invited, and speak on diseases in dairy cattle and sheep. It was agreed to request Mr. P. Keegan, Country Party candidate for the Waikato electorate, to attend the branch smoke concert on Saturday, and to address the members at the following monthly meeting. On the motion of Messrs. Topham and Ferguson it was decided to make Captain Colbeck a life member of the Morrinsville branch and to term him senior life member. Reporting on the financial position the treasurer said there was £ls on fixed deposit, between £7 and £8 in current account, and the 5s rebate on subscriptions still to come 'from the Auckland executive.
