ON THE SCREEN.
ARAPUNI PICTURE PALACE. Two fine programmes are advertised for this week which are fully in accord with the standard of this theatre. The programmes are well balanced, there being items of a dramatic, artistic, comic and sporting nature. Owing to the enormous success of the British picture “ Quality Street ” the management is endeavouring to secure others- from the same source.
RANDELL’S PICTURES. Only those with weak hearts should stay away from “ The Cradle Snatchers,” as it is one big laugh from start to finish. Middle-aged men with flappers and wives with school boys provide the theme. Coming to this circuit shortly are “ The Unknown Soldier,” “ Music Master,” “ Bigger Than Barnums,” “ The Wizard,” “ Only Way ” and “ Irene.” PUTARURU PICTURES. The song hit of two generations made into a screen play that will live for ever—“ Mother Machree.” Ireland’s epic story of a mother’s devotion will win a place in your heart with its vibrant drama and spontaneous wit. This picture is coming to Putaruru on July 14.
