KITCHEN AFTERNOON.
- i •' ; -• i TO MISS VERA MAISEY. On Thursday a very pleasant kitchen afternoon was given to Miss Maisey at the Manse, by the Ladies* of the Guild, in honour of her approaching marriage. In calling upon Miss' Maisey to open the parcels, the hostess, Mrs. A. C. Hampton, made complimentary references to the good social woi’K the guest had performed as a member of the Guild and in other respects,' and wished her, on behalf of the Guild
ladies every happiness in her future life. Miss Maisey suitably responded, and Mrs. Maisey, mother of the bride elect, made acknowledgments. The presents proved to be of good selection, with no duplications a most uncommon good fortune. I During the afternoon Mrs. Keith Buchanan sang a Venetian boat song, which was fully appreciated. A dainty afternoon tea was served, and the company upon leaving again expressed their good wishes for the future happiness of their guest.
