SHOOTING.
THE OPENING SHOOT. There was a good attendance at the ip-ning shooc of the Okoroi'e Gun Cub. Owing to the shoot clashing with local events outside clubs were not very well represented. Details are as follows:
No. 1 Shoot, sweepstake, 7 birds. E. Green 1, E. J. Brown, H. Walker, D. N. Hay and W. Blair 2 (equal). No. 2, sweepstake, 7 biids.—E. J. Brown, E. Green, J. Amundsen, D. N. Hay, W. Blair and W. Laird tied for first place. No. 3.—Mr. N. L. Higginson’strophy, first round: Leading, E. J. Brown and J. Amundsen, 10 birds each. No. 4.—Gimcrack shoot : E. Green 1, J. Amundsen, W. Blair, D. N. Hay 2.
