NEW ZEALAND BUTTER.
INCREASING THE DEMAND. The journal, New Zealand News (London), printed for New Zealanders abroad, makes a strong plea for the extension of New Zealand butter sales:— “ Mr. Amery’s presence at the opening cf the New Zealand apple season at New Zealand House was a fitting testimony to the importance cf tile occasion. His reference to the fact that one New Zealander docs as much trade with Britain as thirty citizens of the United States cannot be too strongly emphasised. Every New Zealandfer in this country can do a great deal for the Dominion by acting as a tr-ade missionary. Every--1 where retailers are only too willing ' to pass anything off as a product of New Zealand, and good service can be done by seeing that only New Zealand goods are bought when they are available at all in this country. Why should you bother? Because the sum of your efforts and those of the thousands of other New Zealanders in Britain can make a big difference to the demand for New Zealand goods. If you have New Zealand butter, cheese, honey, meat and apples—and prove to your English friends how good they are —the effect of your efforts will soon be felt. We have personal knowledge of cases where English people, once introduced to real New Zealand butter, absolutely refuse to have any other on any consideration whatever. Surely New Zealanders can do the same. Ask for New Zealand goods and insist on getting them.”
