DAIRY FACTORY RETURNS.
FEBRUARY FIGURES. Lower Production General. Every dairy factory in the Morrinsville district shows evidence of the decreased production due to the drought in the returns for February. However, a higher rate of payout has caused the distributions to suppliers to be only a little lower than for last year, so that the position of the dairy farmer is not so bad as would otherwise have been the case. Details of the payouts and production figures are as follow, the returns for February, 1927, being given in parentheses :
Morrinsville. Pounds butterfat 116,432 (182,643), payout Is 4d (Is 13d), distribution £7755 13s 2d (£7562 19s 7d), total payout for season to date £88,364 16s 7d (£62,508 ISs sd). Tatua (Tatuanui). Pounds milk 1,368,457 (2,019,409), pounds butterfat 56,798 (83,108), payout Is 5d (Is), distribution £4022 (£4155), total payout for season to date £41,946 10s. Norfolk (Motumaoho). Pounds milk 688,173 (929,417), pounds butterfat 27,979.5 (38,309.8), payout Is 5d (Is 2d), distribution £l9Bl 17s (£1995 2s lid), total payout for season to date £22,507 (£17,970). Sunny Park (Te Poi). Cheese : Pounds milk 788,047 (1,413,385), pounds butterfat 31,516.8 (54,583.8), test 4 (3.86), payout Is 5d (Is Id), distribution £2232 7s 8d (£2945 15s). Butter : Pounds cream 36,426 (34,723), pounds butterfat 14,177 (15,042), payout Is 3d (Is Id), distribution £BB6 Is 3d (£761 11s 9d). Total payout for season to date £29,890 (£26,535).
