TIRAU.
Motor Accident. Last Saturday a motor capsize occurred at the railway crossing between the Okoroire Railway Station and the Tirau saleyards. A young lady, Miss Day, schoolmistress, of the Raglan district, was going to Tirau in a “ baby ” Austin, and When nearing the crossing the car skidded and overturned. The vehicle was badly smashed, and it is considered remarkable that the sole occupant of the vehicle escaped with minor injuries. The Show List. The following are corrections in the Tirau show prize list, which was published recently:— Industrial section.—Pair of pillow shams, Miss King (not Miss Macfey).
