WELCOME HOME.

TO MR. AND MRS. PEPPERILL. A surprise party to welcome home Mr. and Mrs. Dick Pepperill (nee Miss Myrtle Price) was held on a recent Monday, when a large gathering of friends attended from the Putaruru and Lichfield districts. Mr. Syd Hudson was elected master of ceremonies, and during the evening many items were given, all being enthusiastically received. One of the most popular turns was that provided by Mr. A. McMeekin, whose genial spirit always enters into the fun on such occasions. The popular Alec was in his best form on this occasion and his impromptu efforts repeatedly brought down the house. Others who contributed to a most successful evening included Messrs. H. Dimond, G. Parks, Dug Henshaw, R. Pepperill and Dawson. During the evening Mr. W. Dunlop paid a warm tribute to the popularity of Mr. and Mis. Pepperill and wished them every success and happiness in their married life.
