METHODIST PICNIC.

ENJOYABLE DAY. A picnic organised by the managers of the Putaruru Methodist Church was held in Mr. Pepperill’s grounds at Lichfield on Saturday in perfect weather. There was an attendance of just over 100, a number of whom weie conveyed from Putaruru by cars which were kindly lent for the occasion by omiging motorists. | During the afternoon tea interval Mr. A. R. Vosper thanked Mr. Pepperill for the use of his grounds, and as the day had been so successful he expressed a wish that the picnic be made an annual one.
