WEDDING BELLS.

BARNES— CAHILL. St. Matthew’s Church, Auckland, was the scene of a pretty wedding of interest to Matamata residents on Wednesday, the parties being Miss Ruby Barnes, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Barnes, of Hinuera, and Leslie, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Cahill, of St. Heliers Bay. The officiating minister was Rev. C. Chandler. The bride Wore a frock of japonica pink georgette, fashioned on simple lines, with a scalloped skirt edged with deep silver lace. Her long veil of embroidered tulle, which was caught to the head with a high coronet of orange blossom, fell in graceful folds forming a train. The bridal bouquet was of white flowers, with touches of pale pink. Miss Isobel Wright acted as chief bridesmaid, wearing a frock of sand-dust georgette over silk lace of the same shade. Her georgette hat was trimmed with bands of fawn petals and she carried a shower bouquet of autumn-tinted flowers. Miss Blanche Cahill, sister of the bridegroom, also acted as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of turquoise blue georgette, with a front panel of silver lace. She wore a small blue hat with a georgette flower at the side and carried a bouquet of pale pink and mauve flowers. Mr. H. Barnes gave his daughter away.

The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Roy Smith and Mr. Stanley Keyes.
