TIRAU.

Miss Ross, of Rotorua, has been assistant mistress at the Tirau school. Miss Fitzgerald is on the sick list. Bowlers and friends throughout the district will regret to learn that Mr. Randall is indisposed at Tirau. During the past ten days or so over 10,000 sheep have been driven through Tirau from the East Coast. Some of them were for local sheepfarmers, while others continued their long journey to the Waikato. One of the young men who was killed in the motor cycle smash on Te Poi-Okoroire road was fairly wellknown in Tirau, being a brother of Mrs. G. Wilson. He was the only son of the late Thomas and Mrs. Young, of Rukuhia. The other youth, Norman Castleton, had been resident at Waiomou for several years, having been milking with his family for Mr. Coates.
