THE SERVICE CAR.
WHY IT IS OPEN. Why do the service drivers keep to Ahe open touring car instead of following the modern trend of having nothing but the closed cars? A service <ownc; explained the reason this week. It is because there is less iucbnation *<?n the part of passengers on long trips to become car-sick in the open car. Travelling long distances in the closed •car, unles one is acclimatised, is not as simple ai:.d comfortable as it might appear, and a great number of people will succumb to mal de mer. There is another reason too. Most •of the service car; travel at fast rates -over not tht best of roads, and th * service owners consider that if there Is a mishap, and these have always to be counted as pc'*ibilities, the passengers have a better chance of * 1 getting out from under. ’ 1
