INFLUENCE ON HUMANS. “In recent times there has been endless dii-sicussion as to which has the greater influence upon human nature, heredity or environment. But it is really impossible to say, because the differetaces between human beings are so mysterious and immeasurable. There isi always a third factor, which can never he left out of account. In the degree in which a man 'i? a person and not merely a biped, his self- conscious personality is as real as it is indefinable by lull our psychology and metaphysics.
