A SILVER LINING.
EFFECT OF COAL STRIKE. The coal strike seems to be another illustration of the old saying that every cloud has a silver lining. While the consumption of coal in Britain has done down, the air has cleared to such an extent that mlany Londoners are getting a real view of London for the first time in their lives. The roof and towers of the Crystal Palace can now be seen will great clearness from the Strand, which is seven and one-half miles away. The views from the Thames bridges are also striking and unusual.
