A GEM MACHINE.

THREE-PIECE MOtOR CYCLE. With a view to obtaining perfect accessibility and portability ,a Berlin designer, Dr. Sceliasc, has produced a lightweight machine which can be divided into three parts in a nfatter of seconds. The frame consists of only two rigidly braced steel girders connecting tho rear wheel spindle with the steering head.; The engine, a two-stroke Bekamo, forms, with its gear-box and auxiliaries, a unit with the tank. The third unit consists of the black mudguard, the saddle ,and a pillion seat* • < To dismantle the machine, it-is" only necessary to place on its- stands? —of which there arc two—and turn tho large central handle, when the frfcimo can be lifted off, leaving the engine on the stands. The second release attachment is then used to free the mudguard and saddle unit. All the controls connect themselves automatically when -the engine and frame units are assembled. The designer states that, with his assistant as passenger, he has covered 3000 miles without any trouble.
