MEMORIAL SERVICE.
REV. T. G,, HAMMOND. A memorial service to the late Rev. T. G. Hammond, who died at Lichfield on Wednesday, the 15th inst., was held in, the Methodist Church, Putaruru, last Sunday morning. The preacher was Rev. A. J. Sjeamer, who succeeded Rev. Hammond as Superintendent of Maqri Missions, and who as a young man was brought into the Methojlist ministry ’by Rev. Sister Grace McDonald , sang the solo “ Crossing .the. Bar,” and the congregation joined in deceased’s favourite hymns. ,
