PUKETURUA PICNIC.

On Friday, the 10th inst., the Puketurua School held its annual picnic in the grounds of Mr. Peter’s, senr., farm. The weather was ideal, and by eleven o’clock there was a large gathering of the local settlers and their families. Lunch -was spread under the trees, and as soon as this had been disposed of the sports programme was begun. Mr. F. Peters and Miss Mair were starters and Mr. Goebel acted as judge.
