POWER BOARD FINANCES.
HALF-YEARLY STATEMENT. A statement of the income and expenditure of the Thames Valley Electric Power Board for the half year ending September 30, was given at Tuesday’s board meeting by the manager (Mr. R. Sprague). The statement showed:— Income: Flat rate (lighting, heating and power), £25,950 8s Id; waterheaters, £1364 16s 8d; ovens, £879 16s 6d; towns meter, £10,768 12s 9d; street lighting, £5lO 13s Id; towns maximum demand, £lßll 11s; factories and industrial, £2976 9s 4d; trading and sundries, £4505 17s 8d; total, £48,768 5s Id.' Expenditure: Power purchases, £14,617; interest and sinking fund, £21,300; administration and maintenance, £9BBB 3s Sd; discounts, £2BOS 11s 8d; balance, £154 9s 9d; total, £48,768 5s Id. The chairman considered the whole year’s working would prove to be satisfactory.
