“CASUAL FLIGHTS."

FOR BRITISH SAILORS. Instructions have been issued by the Admiralty that in future all officers and men of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines may be ordered to take “casual flights” in aircraft as necessary in the course of their ordinary duties. This order indicates that aircraft have now reached the status of being part of tlie routine life iu His Majesty’s service at sea. The “Morning Post’s” naval correspondent remarks that one need not look far ahead to the time when every ship of any size will be equipped with aeroplanes, which will be used by her own crew for ship’s duties in much the same way as ship’s boats are now used.
