WEBBING BELLS.

BRUCE—SUTHERLAND. A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Matamata, on Tuesday, 27. th July, the parties being Miss Margaret, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs! Hector Sutherland, Okauia, Matamata, and Mr. Alfred Roy, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Bruce, of Geraldine, South, Canterbury. ’the bride entered .the church on the ’ arm of her father, by whom she wak given away, in a beautiful frock of ivory georgette and crepe de chine. She wore a handsomely embroidered tulle veil and carried a lovely bouquet' 6f spring flowers. The bride was attended by two bridesmaids, the ftrst; Miss Mol--I‘ie Bruce, in a ‘ very - pretty pale blue marocain frock with headdress of tulle, and a beautiful bouquet of lemon-coloured flowers, and the second, Miss Annie Sutherland, sister of the bride, in a dainty frock of lemon georgette/with headdress of tulle and a bouquet of mauve coloured flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Arthur Carter as best man and Mr. Reg. Hall as groomsman. After the ceremony the bridal party and guests adjourned to Rialto Tear rooms, where the reception was held and the customary toasts were honoured. Mrs. Sutherland, mother of the bride, received her guests in a cinnamon costume and. black hat. The newly-wedded couple left amid showers of confetti and good wishes from their many friends, the bride travelling in a smart brown repp ensemble suit and flame-coloured hat. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce were the recipients of many beautiful and useful presents, including some cheques. Among the presents received was a beautiful Doulton bis.cfiit barrel from the members of the. Hockey Club, of which club. Miss Sutherland has been a prominent, member for a number of years.
