AUCKLAND EDUCATION DISTRICT

EAST WARD ELECTION. Mr. Banks Returned. The sitting member, Mr. E. C. Banks, has been re-elected to represent the East ward of the rural area on the Auckland Education Board. The counting of the votes in the recent election has now been completed and the result is : Mr. E. C. Banks, 677 votes ; Mr. J. C. Pearson, 111 votes ; informal, 23 votes. The other members of the board, who were all returned unopposed, are as follow : Auckland urban area, Mrs. N. E. Ferner and Messrs. W. J. Campbell and J. P. McPhail ; Hamilton urban area, Mr. S. B. Sims ; North ward of the rural area, Mr. J. D. McKenzie ; West ward, Mr. J. Boddie.
