It might not be generally known that one of the, regulations governing heavy traffic in New Zealand provides that any motor lorry engaged in the carriage of school children shall be deemed to be engaged in the carriage of goods, but not of passengers. Anyone of a malicious turn of mind might be disposed to suggest—as teachers have been known to do, if my memory serves me right—that the youngsters are little “ woodenheads.”
