DAIRYING AT TAUHEI.

FIVE YEARS’ PROGRESS. To double the production from farm land in five years is a very creditable performance. This has been accomplished on the two Tauhei farms of Messrs. R. H. Haycock and V. Brunt. The two farms total in area 223 acres and five years ago the total butterfat production for the season was 10,6001 b from the two holdings, on which there were from 55 to 60 cows. During the past season, with 68 cows—very little increase in the carrying capacity—the total butterfat taken from the two places amounted to approximately 20,0001 b, an average over the two herds of nearly 3001 b of butterfat per cow.
