HINUERA DAIRYING.

INCREASE OF OUTPUT. The annual report of the chairman (Mr. C. F. Seaward) of the Hinuera Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., should make pleasant reading for the company’s suppliers. The following are some points taken therefrom: Output.—A very satisfactory increase in the quantity of butter manufactured is revealed, the output being 346 tons to the end of May last. A-S an instance of the progress of the company, the following statement shows each season’s make of butter since the company was formed: —

Bonus. —All the stocks of butter unsold at the end of the financial year have been disposed of at the valuation shown in the accounts, and nett cash progress payments have been made during the season to the extent of Is 4.33 d per pound on total butterfat supplied. Manager.—Mr. Watt having resigned in order to join the Dairy Division, Mr. T. H. Robinson was appointed to fill the vacancy. "With the installation of the new plant, which is now in hand, the factory will be capable of turning out over 500 tons, and cartage routes have been considerably extended in order to cope with new supply already offering. During the year a six-roomed cottage has been built for the butter maker. Also, the sinking of two artesian bores has resulted in splendid water supply ample for all requirements.
