BOWLING.
TIRAU CLUB. The annual meeting of the Tirau Bowling Club was held on Monday evening, Mr. W. H. Allen, president, occupying the chair. The balancesheet showed a debit of £7, which, considering the green had been relaid and other works carried out, from general revenue, was considered most satisfactory. Officers were elected as follows:—Patron, Mr. J. W. Anderson; president, Mr. J. Watson; vicepresidents, Messrs. A. Stewart and R. Carruth; committee, Messrs. F. Rose, W. Main, T. Weir, A. R. Jones and W. H. Allen; secretary and treasurer, appointment deferred; auditor, Mr. T. 1 Little; green superintendent, Mr. W. Main. It was decided to top dress the green immediately, so as to get an early start next season. One new member, Mr. J. W. McLarin, formerly of the Onehunga club, was elected and it was stated that there were prospects of several others joining when the new season starts.
