A HIGH PRODUCER.

A TWO-YEAR JERSEY. A two-year pedigree Jersey heifer under semi-official test, and belonging to Mr. J. Goo'dwin, of Morrinsville, gave promise of putting up a very good performance, but unfortunately the animal slipped its calf before the close of the period and therefore failed to gain a certificate. Up to the end of May this heifer had given 5591 b of butterfat with 86 days to go before completing her period. It was then that she slipped her calf. As the heifer was still giving ov«r 501 b of butterfat per month it was anticipated that she would have gained a certificate for over 6001 b.
