A touch of humour was introduced by a grocer who had read: the account of a woman who published the fact that she had spent 63s at the Dunedin Exhibition in trying to win a Wembley dqXl for a sick child. “ I don’t know whether it was one of my customers,"” he sard,‘“lbut I know that several of them have done the same thing. Would you please advertise that if any of them now want a Wembley doll I’ll get them a dozen for 3s and they can pay the other £3 off my account.”
